Firsts suffer disapointing start to the season

On a warm day at Methley. Cleck lost the toss and were put into bat on a ‘green one’.
The methley seamers started well and used the conditions to their advantage. Dismissing the top 4 of Ward, Lee, Babar and Pyrah with only 27 on the board. The second seamers and spinners ran through the rest of the order. Amir hussain (20) and Toby Booth (18) top scoring as Cleck were bowled out for 106 inside 40 overs.

Cleck started off the second innings in positive fashion with Rich Pyrah bowling Matty Waite third ball for 2. Rich picked up a further wicket finishing with 2-33 from 9 overs. Amir also chipped in with a wicket as Methley knocked off the score 3 down.
A couple of positives to take from the game. Rich bowled well on his first game in a while and the young debutant Ibrahim Ahmed batted and bowled well.
